2. Web Research and Short Essay
Please complete the following activities individually.
Note-The sites will open in a separate browser window. When you are through visiting a site, close the window to return to this page!
Read through and take notes from the following web sites:
- Tour the collection of medieval sites detailing life in that time.
- Castles
Especially, but not limited to, the sections on:
- Take a tour of at least 8 castles on the Castle Tour section of Castles on the Web site. Choose your favorite castle, and type a brief description of it.
- Take a virtual tour of a castle.
- Read through the messages posted on the Castles Message Board. Produce a list of questions (at least 4) that you have about castles, and post them on the to the board in the appropriate section. When posting, please select e-mail notification of a response (Use your gaggle.net account.) and, when you get a response, forward the response to your teacher: teacher@teacher.edu. Choose questions that will help you in your essay and possibly in your group project.

Complete the compare and contrast chart.
Compose a short essay on the similarities and differences of your life and that of a person your age living in a medieval castle. Be sure to follow the guidelines form.
The above activities are due by (date). Please turn them in as you complete them.
