Character Sketch

Do you have an absolutely great relative? My aunt Jen is one of my favorite people in the world. She is very kind and creative. She is fun to talk to, and very funny. She also has many interests. It is great to be around her.

My aunt Jen is very athletic. Once she was in her gymnastics class when she was nine or ten, and her coach told the class he was having a contest. He said that they needed to get down in push-up position and whoever stayed there the longest got the king size of their favorite candy bar. She was in the position for so long by the time she won she had been in position so long she could not move. Another time she was in a state competition. She was on the balance beam and she fell off in the middle of her flip! She hopped back on and did her flip. She won third place. Though she was happy she could not help but wonder, “How could I have won fell off. Everyone else must have done horrible.” When she got home, she found out in the middle of her performance there had been an earthquake that had caused her to fall off. Though now she is older she is still a great athlete.

My aunt Jen is also caring. She throws baby showers and birthday parties. But one time in particular she cared very much. My cousin Alanna and her were going on an airplane. When she turned her back to get the tickets Alanna had disappeared. She was scared because a plane had just arrived so the place was full of people. Frantically, she searched the vicinity; and finally with her glasses askew, she found her on the employee’s desk, swinging her legs happily. She was glad to find her safe. She cares very much when it comes to other people’s safety.

My aunt Jen is very ingenious. She loves to do crafts, cook, and play sports. When she is in the middle of a recipe if she is missing an ingredient she will substitute it with something else. That way she can keep on cooking. Also she always comes us with fashionable ways to pull up her curly blonde hair. She is really good at improvising. This is good and makes her very smart.

So, those are some inside looks on my aunt Jen, a loyal, kind, thoughtful, woman. She has been a real asset to my life. She never let’s me down. She is one of my best friends and favorite aunts.

All About Me

I do plenty of things every day and week. Some are read, sing, play soccer, go to church, and have my piano lessons. I love to paint, color, sketch, and do other forms of art. At my house, we do a whole bunch of things that other families don’t, for example. I love to cook. I am great at making meals. This is good because I do it often. We clean more than other families, too. I also baby-sit frequently. These are all owing to the fact that I have a huge family. We have seven children plus my mom and dad. Aside from house jobs I do other activities to; though these are different from what I already stated. Every other Wednesday I have Activity Days. It is an activity for girls eight through twelve at my church (though you don’t need to go to my church to attend). I also go to the gym every day. Those are some activities I do on a daily and weekly basis.

Many wonderful and horrible experiences have happened during my life. So, I will start with the horrible. When I was five or six my grandpa died. Though the horrible was bad the wonderful makes up for it. You may not believe me when I say I have a big family. All our kids have been born in different years; first Ben, then me, next Alyssa, then Gabe (Gabriel), Callie, Elena, and last, but not least, Tessa. Every year our grandparents take us to New Jersey to the same beach house (though this year we went to another one). We go play at the beach for a week. Also, our grandpa picks a day while we are there to go to the boardwalk to go to an amusement park. Another bonus is I am the only child who loves seafood (the kind from the ocean). So my mom always takes me to the Brigantine Seafood Shack. Except this year since we were in a new house, we made a new tradition. My mom, dad, grandpa, and I went to a place called Docks. They are fancy and delicious when it comes to food. I also went on a cross-country-road-trip this last summer. We went to Utah, Nevada, and California and many more awesome states and cities. I have also been to Disney World, Universal Studios, and Kings Dominion. These are some high and low points of my life.

I want straight “A’s” this year. When I grow up there are many things I want to be. I want to be a teacher, lawyer, or psychiatrist. I also want to be a mom. I would also like to be an author. I would also love to be a chef. These are my dreams and goals.
