All About Me Every day I go to school at Saunders Middle School. All of the teachers are really fun and interesting. Another thing I do a few days a week is play soccer on a U-12 travel soccer team. My team practices just about every day of the week, and we have games on the weekend. My coach’s name is Bennett Whitlock. I think I’m pretty good at playing soccer. One of my favorite sports that I do every day is swim. I am on a swim team in the summer and in the winter. These are some of the activities and academics I do every day. One of the high points in my life was when I made a travel soccer team. Another high points in my life was when I got my dog about a year ago. My dog is a Chocolate Lab, and he weighs about 100 pounds. His name is Rocky. One of the low points in my life was when my grandmother died. This also happened about a year ago. Those are some of the high and low points of my life. One of my goals this year is to get all A’s. When I get older, I have a few different jobs I am thinking about doing. First, I would like to become a chef. The reason I would like to do this is because I like to cook. My second choice would be to become a lawyer. Finally, I am thinking about becoming a professional swimmer. Those are some of the jobs that I want to have when I get older.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Draft Have you ever thought about what it would be like without a dad? To me, my dad is so special that I would not want to live without him. He is great at everything, and he always tries his best. My dad always likes to be doing something or trying new things all of the time. He is the neatest and most creative person I know. My dad is a very helpful person. Whenever I need help with something, he is always there for me. For instance, when I had to study for a big math test, I asked my dad for help. The first thing he did before we started to study was he showed me his big smile. Then he said, “Let’s get to work Nick.” This is one of the reasons I think my dad is very helpful. Another great thing about my dad is that he is responsible. Anytime I ask him to do something for me he does it. The other day I asked him to pick me up from a friend’s house after school. Since I asked him the day before, I forgot to remind him to pick me up the next day. However, my dad remembered without my having to remind him. My dad is one of the most intelligent people I know. Whenever I need help with something, he is always there to help me. Whenever I need help with my homework, he is willing to be there for me. When I had a big social studies test last year, he helped me study and understand it better. He always is showing me how to do new and different things. My dad is very special to me because he is brave. He can do anything he puts his mind to. He is great to have fun with and play games. He loves to work out and exercise. My dad is so helpful. He enjoys doing all things, especially helping me with my homework. These are some of the reasons why I think my dad is the best.
