Zach Dixon 11-12-04 Character Sketch Period 5 My Dad (What would life be like without my dad?) My dad works for the government. He is six feet tall, brown eyes, with black hair. When he goes to work on weekends, sometimes I will go with him. I will only go for three hours or less. He was also the assistant coach for my lacrosse team. He was at most of my games. He always helps me warm up by making me run laps and throw the lacrosse ball before games. Lacrosse is fun and I hope to play it next year. (

) My dad is funny. He is six feet tall. He likes to tell jokes. If he sees something weird or funny, he will start joking around. He cheers me up by making me laugh and by help me with my homework. For example, this school year, I was in a bad mood. I was doing a homework worksheet and was in a bad mood. He asked me if I needed help and noticed I was in a bad mood. He knows when I am in a bad mood; I put the wrong answer down just to get it over with. He sat down and helped me with it. Twenty minutes later, I was done. The next day on that paper, I got an “ A.” (

) Lastly, my dad is dependable. When he says he is going to do something, he does it. Last year in sixth grade, I needed help studying for a CMS test. When he got home from work he helped me study. We went over the material I needed to study for an hour. The next day I went to science to take the test. I got the test back, and it was an “ A.” I showed the test to my dad, he was happy I got an “A.” (

) My dad is respectful. If you tell him you want some privacy for a while, he will give it to you. One day this year, I was doing my homework and my friends came to see if I could play. My dad asked me if I was done with my homework. I said no. He told my friends that I would be out in a minute. After I finished my homework, I went outside to play with my friends. That’s how my dad is respectful. (

) My dad is so special to me because he is always there for me. He will always help me with my homework when I need help. He will sometimes check my homework to see if there is anything wrong. If I get into trouble he help me get out of it. He likes to play sports, run, and outdoor activities just like me. He is the best dad.
