Character Sketch Ashley

Have you ever had a role model that you just met? Ashley is a good-hearted, friendly, humorous, seventeen year-old. She is always in a good mood, and constantly has a smile on her face. You cannot be mad in her presence. She is the best person you can be around. She has helped me in good times and bad. We have many memories together, and many more to come.

Ashley is friendly. She loves to make new friends. You cannot help but smile when you are around her. It all started when my mom, sister, and I were picking her up to take her to King’s Dominion with us. It was the first time any of us had ever seen her. As she got into the car, you could feel the warm sensation she let off. She had long, blonde hair. When she got into the car, she said in a high-pitched, friendly voice, “Hello guys!” We talked almost the whole way to King’s Dominion. It was great. I could tell already that this was going to be the best day, ever! We had a ball at King’s Dominion. She rode on rides that she did not like twice so that both my sister and I could ride without having to ride by ourselves. She also swayed my sister and me into riding the Volcano because she knew we would really enjoy it. By the time we left King’s Dominion, she was calling my mom, “Mom,” and my sister and I her sisters. I felt like part of her family. I looked forward to the days to come.

Ashley is a good-hearted person. I could tell it right away, but I could never have imagined her going to the extent as to do someone else’s job for them. One day, she was working at Glory Days Grill, where she is a hostess. She noticed a family without silverware. Being the kind of person that she is, she went straight to the silverware basket to get them some, even though it was not her job. When she got there, she noticed that the basket was empty. She sat straight down, and started rolling. When she had enough for the family, she took them over to them. She did not mention it at all to the waiter. She did not stop there though, she went back, and started rolling again. She rolled until the basket was full. She knew that that was someone else’s job, but she did not care. The thing that amazed me most was that she did not complain once.

Ashley is a very humorous person. She is always cracking jokes, make a silly comment, or just having fun. I am not sure if it is something Ashley does everyday, or if it was just a one time thing because I am not with her everyday. I do though know that she did it that day, and she had me cracking up. It happened when we were in her truck, and had the radio turned up high. She glanced in her rear-view mirror and spotted a police behind her. Ashley stayed at the same speed and turned down her radio. The police officer merged over to the other lane. About a mile down the road, the police officer started to speed up. As she passed us, she gave us a weird look. I am not sure what it meant. Ashley translated it though, because she replied, “I’m not slowing down for you. You are not the queen. How come most police officers get mad if you do not slow down to let them pass you? Hugh, that makes me so mad.” I think she was a little mad, but all I could do was laugh. Ashley’s humorous side shows up all the time in the weirdest places, but that is what makes her different. That is what makes her her.

Ashley is special to me because she stays positive during the worst times. She knows just what to say and when to say it. She does not care what I look like or how popular I am. She does not judge a book by its cover. She lifts me up when I need it, and she is always there for me. She would put her own schedule aside for me, and that means a to me. She motivates me to control my attitude, and keep a smile on my own face. She models self-confidence for me, and no matter what she is doing, she keeps her values in her heart and a smile on her face. She is the perfect role model. I know because she is mine.

All About Me - Final

Everyday I am busy with something to do. I have to do homework, practice piano, and many other things. Once a month, my mom and I go shopping for new clothes. It is really fun, and we both enjoy it. I play with my sister quite a bit, too. We play board games, frisbee, soccer, or any other games we can think of. On the weekends, I hang out with my friends. We have sleepovers, parties, or just hangout. I also take piano lessons, which I have been taking for two years now. I take advantage of the weekends, and keep myself busy.

I’ve had many high points and low points in my life. My grandfather’s death was definitely a low point. It made me upset because I hadn’t had the chance to really get to know him. Another sad and low point in my life was when I had to leave my favorite teacher because I had had her for two years, and was getting pretty close to her. A high point in my life was when I got my kitten. It made me so happy because I had wanted one for so long, and finally I had one to call my own. When I went to Hershey Park, I had a wonderful time! Riding on all the rides was so much fun! When I began at Saunders, it was great. I made many new friends, and had a great time. It was a whole new world for me because I had previously gone to a private school. I finally felt a sense of freedom, and I actually looked forward to the next day when I went to bed at night. It felt great!

I want to be a marine biologist. I want to work with marine mammals. I think they’re interesting and are not given much credit. I also dream of being a successful, criminal lawyer. I love to argue and debate. My most important dream though is to be a mother. I also set my goals each year, and try my hardest to reach them. This year my goal is to get straight “A’s” each nine weeks. I want to meet new friends this year too. Although dreams and goals are hard to reach, I will try my hardest to reach mine.
