Fall
Fantasy Room Imagine a room with no limitations to it. You can have anything you want in it. Do you know what you will have? I do. My room would be a rectangular shape with a hallway leading to my dream bathroom. My walls would be pearl white. I would have a white, tiger fur rug throughout my room. In my arcade room, I would have black lights (which are actually blue), lava lamps, and a disco ball. Is this near anything you would have in your fantasy room? When you first come into my room, you will be facing north. Turn to the right so you are facing east. Then turn to the south so you are facing an immense mirror that covers the whole wall you are facing. Saying, “arcade room,” will lift the mirror up so you can enter the arcade room. The first thing you will see is a vending machine with any type of candy in the entire world. If you take a left so you are facing east again, you will come to a Las Vegas slot machine. This is the main wall and best part of the arcade room. When you are facing north, a giant television will be on your right. In front of the TV, there is every type of Nintendo system you could think of. Under the DVD/VCR player is a pizza maker to make any type of pizza. To the right of that is a microwave to pop popcorn while watching TV. This is made so that everything is at your fingertips, and you never have to get out of your seat. When you leave the arcade room, you will come to two Queen sized waterbeds on your left. Just to the right of the beds is a window that has a waterslide going to an outside pool. A few feet ahead is a corner of a very comfortable couch. Take a left at the couch so you are facing west and follow it all the way to the end. Then, on the floor, is a moving sidewalk leading to a wonderful bathroom. In this room, you will find a Jacuzzi, step down tub, and shower. Also, of course, is a toilet. This is the most compelling part of my room. Leaving the bathroom down the moving sidewalk, take a right so you are facing south at the end. As you walk straight, look to your right, and you will see a movie theater-sized television. It is only four inches thick and has speakers all around the room. Also, you will find it has every channel known to man. The best part of the TV is that you can download movies to watch anytime for free. You will never need to go to the movie theater again. There are many other entertaining activities to do in my room besides watch television and play video games. In the middle of my fantasy room, you will find an indoor pool the size of four Queen sized beds. On the side of the rectangular pool closest to the door, you will find one lane for bowling. To the right of the pool on the side of the room with a window, there is an interchangeable pool/ping-pong/air hockey table. Finally, closest to the couch is a very small miniature golf course. I like being in this room because it has many fun things to do. I can swim, play pool, and of course play video games. Doing these things is very exciting for me. I chose the items in my room because some of them are the latest things out, or have not even been created yet. I will have a great time with this room, if I can afford it. Everything in my room is very convenient. Character Sketch Final Draft Rosanne Raynes Do you have a grandmother you don’t get to see often, but when you do, it’s the greatest time you’ve ever had? I do. Her name is Rosanne Raynes, and she is as slender as a rail. She lives all the way in Arizona so I rarely see her. Since it is so hot in Arizona, she has a pool. Whenever I visit her I go swimming. There are other things I do, too. She is a baseball fanatic, so we watch baseball. Her favorite team is the Arizona Diamondbacks. Watching them play on T.V. is something my grandma does often. Something I can look forward to when I visit my grandma is her delicious Italian cooking. Whenever I smell Italian food, it reminds me of her. My grandmother has taught me many things. My grandma loves baseball. Whenever she visits me, if I have a game, she’ll be there. I had one of the best times in my life when I was vacationing in Arizona and saw a major league baseball game. The teams playing were the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Cincinnati Reds. We had box seats up in the stands. Getting free soda and popcorn was almost as good as the game. While eating free food you would think you couldn’t watch the game, but there was a T.V. showing the live game right in our box. I will always remember this experience with my grandmother. One of my grandmother’s biggest traits is never worrying. When my dad was about my age, he split open his chin on the playground. It was as deep as the Grand Canyon, and he easily could have had stitches. Walking into the house, home early from school, my grandmother saw him. Since she is a nurse she said, “Why did they send you home early?” Worrying whether he’d be all right probably never crossed her mind. Being prepared is easy for my grandma because she thinks ahead. My family was visiting my grandma, and planning to go to the Grand Canyon. Right away my grandma said, ”It’s just a big hole in the ground.” She has seen it several times and knows it will be boring to her, so she doesn’t go. I wish I could think ahead like my grandmother does. My grandmother has taught me many things. Most importantly, she taught me not to worry. She tells me not to be a “worry wart,” and I am starting to catch on. Thinking ahead is a characteristic my grandma has I hope to develop. Something I have already learned from her is the love of baseball. I will always remember what my grandma has taught me and will look forward to visiting her. ![]() Fall Winter Research Paper: Spring Poetry: Spring Year-End Reflections and Comments: spring | |
