My Fantasy Room

Have you ever dreamed of having the room of your dreams? I do not know about you, but I always dream about my fantasy room every time I walk into my old room. My fantasy room would have something like a pool in the middle of it with an arcade off to one side. Just dreaming about it makes me wish that I had it. If I had of my fantasy room, there would never be a dull moment in my life after that.

Before I tell you what is in my fantasy room let me tell you about how it looks. It is all decorated in red, white and blue colors. It has very bright lights in it so it is easy to see. The floor has lots of rugs, except on the sporting areas. It really is a great room. Come with me and let me, give you a tour!

When you walk into my room through the door, the first thing you will notice is a huge red-white and blue colored bed to your right. That is where I spend most of my time. Next to my bed is a rocket ship. It is the kind of rocket ship that you put a dime in, and it takes you for a ride. In the far corner of the room, there is a full basketball court. That is where I play "twenty-one" with my friends. You can even lower the basketball goals down so you practice our slam dunk. I play a lot of basketball, so I get tired, and then I get to use the huge bed you saw when you first entered into my fantasy room.

Next to the basketball court in my fantasy room is an exercise area with all sorts of exercise machines. I have also put up bars over a huge pit full of foam. You can swing on the bars and drop into the pit. It is real fun! If you keep walking into my fantasy room, you will see a hot tub with a waterfall over it. The water is nice and warm, so your muscles get relaxed after a hard workout session. My fantasy room allows you to both workout hard, but to also relax after the workout.

On the near wall as you enter my fantasy room is my giant large screen TV, and my stereo. My TV gets every channel ever broadcast. This lets me have a football party at my house every weekend during football season. My stereo has speakers all over the room so you can hear my favorite music no matter where you go in my fantasy room. In the middle of my fantasy room is an Olympic-sized swimming pool. There are water slides, diving boards and platforms. Next to the pool is a bowling alley, and next to that are air hockey and Ping-Pong tables. I usually do not win when I play these games, but I really like to play them. One game, though, I do win is putt-putt. My putt-putt course is right next to the Ping-Pong tables. I own the course record on the putt-putt course because I got a hole-in-one on every hole! My fantasy room is so enjoyable because you will never be bored in my room. There is always something fun to do there. The room would be the best when I had friends come over and share all of the fun things to do. We would all jump in the foam pit, swim in the pool, play basketball and then watch our favorite teams on my large screen TV. Wow! What a fun room that would be!

Eric Lindenbaum

Eric Lindenbaum is a person I never thought I would miss that much. He is more than just a person. He is my Dad. I did not realize how important he is to me until he lived on a ship and his ship, went out to sea. When he left, it was the hardest thing in the world to me. I had taken him for granted being around the house all of the time, but when he left, I then realized how much I missed him

The one character trait of my Dad that sticks out in my mind is my father’s love of games. He loves to play all kinds of games. One night, we lost power so he asked everyone in my family if we wanted to play cars by candlelight. We all thought it would be boring, but we decided to play anyway. That night we had one of the most fun nights ever. We also figured out that when Dad has an idea, we should listen to him because his ideas can be very good.

Another character trait about my Dad is that he is very easy going. He is very laid back and does not care about much. One time on the spur of the moment he decided to go to Chicago. There was not very much planning at all. On Monday he said he was going to Chicago and the next Friday, he was there. He only stayed there for one day but he did not worry about all the little things that could have gone wrong. He just did it.

Eric Lindenbaum is more than just a person in my family. He is my Dad, and I love him very much. He helps me with my homework every night and tries to guide me in the right direction. He tries to teach me lessons that will be very valuable in my life in the long run. It is great having him around and I realize this the most when he is gone.

This new year I have many goals and dreams. Some are more important than others, like turning in 100 percent of my work is a very important goal. A dream that is not so important is making the football team. Another dream I have is to graduate from college. Graduating from college would benefit my life more than playing football would.

In my life, I have gone through a lot of high and low points. One of my high points has been making the Honor Roll every report card. Another high point was having the highest grade point average in my class. One of my lowest points was my Dad leaving on deployment for six months when I lived in Japan. I missed him a lot.

There are many things that I do every day and some things I do on a weekly basis. One thing I do on a weekly basis is going to church. Religion is a big part of my life. It teaches me what is important in life. Another thing that is important in my life that I do every day is play sports. I play a sport like lacrosse, basketball or baseball everyday. I play with my brothers or friends from the neighborhood. If I did not play sports, I think my life would be very boring. Sports and religion are two very big and important parts of my every day life.
