Fantasy Bathroom

Have you ever thought of the perfect paradise? I certainly have. The thing is that you just can't appear in that place in an instant. I made that almost possible with one simple tool, which was my imagination. I designed my dream bathroom. It is an extraordinary place where I could just be myself and enjoy the sounds I want to here.

You walk in. On the floor in front of you is a long, fuzzy rug leading to a heavy, red, silk curtain. On your left is a long vanity and mirror mounted above it. After you walk along this and slip behind the curtain you will enter a room. It has a giant stone bathtub a few feet in front of you. It is in the shape of a stubby "T". This tub is lined with heavily scented candles and on the wall above the bathtub there is a waterfall spout for showering.

As you have a fuzzy, light green, rug under your feet, to your left is a folding screen with a toilet and large magazine rack behind it. After you pass the magazine rack, a waterproof speaker is sort of hidden behind a fern plant. Past the speaker is a dark wood shelf with simple accessories on top. In the far corner is another speaker and plant.

After you weave yourself around the tub, you will come to another wall, and you are now on the right side of the room. There is a speaker with a plant and a waterproof stereo spread apart from each other only about seven feet. Once you go little bit further, a small wall is in front of you with a door leading to a linen closet. As you stand in that corner, facing outward you are able to admire the shiny white floor which is a gigantic tile. On the ceiling, comforting light beams come from hanging lamps with dried jungle leaves for shades.

You turn to back through the curtain, and now you are facing the entrance to the entire bathroom. To your left now is an almost empty wall. The only items on this wall are a door leading to soap, scent closet and some switches to open and close the skylights, which are toward the side of the main door.

Everyone loves a space and time to themselves. Having my own spectacular space is why I chose to design my amazing, dream bathroom. This special design was made especially for a place to spend after a challenging week. I would be soothed by candlelight and precious scents of soap while water pours into my royal, stone tub. This bathroom would also be my kingdom of getting ready in the morning with my long, lovely vanity and mirror. I can just imagine this perfect paradise.

Kaiti Coffey

Just as the tide of the sea rushes in, is how quickly people can bond. Well, that’s what occurred with my best friend Kaiti and me. Although her curly, brown hair and puppy brown eyes make her unique, our friendship is even more so. Meeting Kaiti on the first day of sixth grade was one of the best things that happened to me. Some people say that having a lot in common with someone leads to an uneasy friendship. Not with Kaiti and me. We share many characteristics.

Kaiti always has that unforgettable cheerfulness about her. Everyday she comes to school with a friendly smile on her face and an enthusiastic “Hello.” She especially shined like the sun in summer the day she found out the fantastic news. She had made the Saunders track team! The whole week Kaiti had been hopeful and confident that she would make the cuts for tryouts. It felt son wonderful to give her that best friend type of pat on the back. But I can guarantee you that even if Kaiti wouldn’t have made it, she would have stayed her bright, diamond like self. Sure she would have been disappointed, but Kaiti wouldn’t ever let that get in her way.

One thing you must know about Kait is that she is a very social person. I will always remember our first year of middle school together. Everyday during dreadful social studies lessons we would write notes back and forth. In our notes, Kaiti and I would write about the day before and that type of thing. Of course, people came up as often as cold days in winter. Kaiti and I never wrote about the same few people every single time, not to mention anything hat would hurt anyone. That's how I got to know about kids I didn't know. By writing notes, Kaiti told me about all the people she knew and everything that went on with our fellow students. We could never walk down the bee- hive of a hallway together without seeing a friend or say "Hi." People are basically Kaiti’s life.

Friendships are more valuable than gold. The ones that last a lifetime are the ones where friends stick like glue at each other's side no matter what the circumstances may be. That's how I'd like to say Kaiti’s and my friendship is. Since the first day of sixth grade there was something special. We developed such an extraordinary bond in such a short period of time that it's almost unthinkable. Kaiti and I have always had something to laugh about and we've had no reason not to enjoy each other's company. Kaiti Coffey's cheerfulness and social instinct has drawn me to say that she is and always will be my best friend.
