My Fantasy Room

Imagine a room that could fulfill all of your needs. My fantasy room does! The lighting is soft, so that there is a party mood floating around. The bright orange wall highlights the dark purple carpet. With my favorite colors in the designated place, my room has a great party setting.

As you stroll in the silver door to the far left of the room, you can see many items inside. Along the walls, there are illuminating green neon lights. On the far left wall, there is a touch screen that allows you to choose any song that you want to hear. There are silver speakers on both ends of the wall, blasting out the lyrics to the song you have chosen. My fantasy room is for entertainment all day and every day.

Continuing clockwise, there is a gigantic big screen television in the center of the far back wall. The television is silver and plays the music videos to the songs that were chosen. On the either side of the big screen, are more silver speakers mounted on the bright orange wall. Advancing onto the right wall, in the center, is a fiber optic dartboard. On either side of this high-tech dartboard are more speakers completing the surround sound. My fantasy room is great for parties, and just on the walls is where the inspiration for these activities comes from.

As you turn the corner onto the next wall, people are really enjoying themselves. There is a little jump rope section where one end of the jump rope is connected to the wall. If there are only two people jump roping the one can turn the rope while the other jumps. These special stations are located at the end of this wall. In the middle of these two high-tech game areas are the mirrors you see at circuses. Some make you look tall and skinny or short and stout. These funny mirrors really make the room a cheerful place to be. My room has tons of fun from corner to corner for all ages.

From the very center to the walls is where all the main stuff is. In the very center on the ceiling is a giant disco ball. It flashes colors and glittery shapes onto the dance floor below. To the right of the dance floor, is a trampoline with a hole in the middle that lets people jump through and land softly in the foam pit below. Through out the room are tables with lava lamps on them. These are in a variety of colors to help create the soft lighting. Behind the trampoline and foam pit, there is a clump of assorted beanbag chairs. This is for people to sit down and rest their feet for a little while before going to do something else. The best part is the light up snack bar tables with food and drinks. There are two, one located at each end of the far right wall. My room is for entertainment and has a ton of activities and dances to keep people up all night.

I would enjoy being in this room because it is perfect for parties. It is so big, and it fits a lot of people in it. I choose all of the lights so that is not bright, but soft and party like. My room has a lot of activity. There is a big screen, to watch, and a pit to jump in. This is what a party needs, and that’s why I created the room the way I did.

Hilary Hawkins

I’ve always had a good person by my side, but I never thought that I would have two great people by my side. I’ve moved so many times and made so many friends, but only two of all those friends were my best friends. Only one of those friends is my all time best friend. Her name is Hilary Hawkins, the friend I made in sixth grade. She had shoulder length brown hair that was styled neatly when I first met her. How we became friends is really weird because I never thought we would bond so well over our two most common personalities.

Hilary has a great sense of fashion. We were almost twins, literally! Her brown eyes sparkled as we met at our locker to begin another day of sixth grade. Well, today I chose to wear a short sleeve purple shirt with butterflies on it. That same day Hilary chose to wear the same shirt, only it was a long sleeve one. At first we didn’t notice, but later on that morning.... WOW! It was such a coincidence we had the same shirt. We didn’t call each other or plan it or anything, even though it was like that throughout the year. That’s the weirdest part about our friendship, it even happens now in seventh grade. We were almost identical from the beginning, and we still had a lot to figure out about our newfound friendship.

Hilary’s smart, and she gets good grades, but she’s not always following the rules. Neither am I to be honest. I don’t think anybody is. Together we kept each other alive during really boring social studies lessons by writing notes. We would never write anything that other people would read that they shouldn’t read. Hilary and I did this often, but never have lower than a “B” on a quiz. Hilary usually wrote when she had something important to say, something secret, or was just bored. Hilary’s new habit caught me, and we enjoyed every social studies lesson. That first day she wrote a sentence to me, and I wrote back we new we were ultimate friends.

My best friend, Hilary Hawkins, and I met in the sixth grade and have been great friends ever since then. Not even great friends but best friends. The first day of sixth grade we knew we had a lot in common. Hilary had the same glitz, glam, style, and talents as I did. The only way you can have a best friend is if you have a lot in common with that person. This isn’t just a normal friend; it’s someone that is always by your side through thick and thin. Hilary Hawkins is my best friend, even if she wasn’t, someone else would be because nobody can survive middle school happily without a best friend.
