All About Me

In my thirteen years of life, I have faced many challenges and have experienced many rewarding times. Those challenges and warding times have brought me up to be a bright and diligent young woman. The rewarding high points, difficult low points, and dreams for the future give me the strength to live each day.

I have been through many blissful high points throughout my life. For instants I was rewarded with the Patrol Of The Year award in the fifth grade. This encouraged me to be myself everyday. I was blessed when I moved to Prince William County and meet new friends and adapted to my new surroundings. My most recent high point was when I was surprised with a beautiful black lab puppy. That was only one year ago. This gave me kinder people skills. Some of my high points have brought me a new look at life.

Unfortunately, I have also experienced some low points. One of my biggest, September 11, was devastating to me. To watch hearts being broken as the twin towers crashed down and disappearing from the horizon of New York was horrifying. It made me feel unsafe… As if America was, a doormat and anyone could step on it whenever they felt like it.However, to see my nation become one to fight terrorism was a relaxing thought. My other devastating moment was when my dear, loving grandfather passed away. He had beaten theodds for years against cancer. However, in my eyes he is still glancing over my shoulder andwatching down at me with a smile on his face and the bluegrass playing his ear. My low points have taught me, life is too short to waste time on nonsense.

I also have big dreams for the future. I want to have a successful education in college. I hope that because of college, I will have steady career. I want a big house… That each room is unique and nice, that also has been designed by me. My big dreams push me to always do my very best.

In my life, all things happen for a reason… My high points have encouraged me to continue to do well in everything I do. My low points have helped me realize the importance of everyday. My dreams have pushed to do better. These things have made me the bright and diligent young woman I am today.

I choose this essay because it reflects my personality so much. This is one of my only personal peices of work. So I believe this should come first.

Fantasy Room

Welcome to my room. Do not be deceived by the tropical palm trees that hang over my surfboard, blue bed. My walls show the glistening, baby blue waves crashing over my floor ofsand. My pearl, seashell nightstand holds a rough, coconut alarm clock. My door is a blue and white-stripped fish (the curves wave from left to right). My rug is a dark blue, rectangular rug that goes under my bed. My island paradise is the perfect fantasy room that brings you closer to Hawaii… no matter how far you are away!

I choose this because it is my best descriptive paragraph I have completed yet! I love my Hawaiin and surfboard theme.

Driving Miss Daisy Daisy Paragraph

In the play, Driving Miss Daisy, Miss Daisy is an old widow who is a modest women. She is very shy when it comes to meeting new people. She doesn't open up to people easily. It took six days just for her to let Hoke drive her to the store. It took nearly half a year (spring-winter) until she found something in common with Hoke. She was a retired teacher and Hok eneeded to be taught. That is when she opened up to Hoke, and the real realationship began between them.

I choose this because I loved the play Driving Miss Daisy!
