Me, Myself, and I My dreams, goals, and everyday activities are things I worry about constantly. These are all concepts that are important to me because they could all help me to get to where I want to be. Using these three facts to help me to achieve my point of success could be a very valuable and, well, unique thing to do. Dreaming about my future helps me to really think about what would be a good career for me. Usually, when I think of this, I remember my past dreams and what is happening now days. For instance, I always wanted to be an artist or a writer of some sort. I love to paint and sketch, but mostly, I love to create short stories, poems, and more. I really, truly discovered this about last year in my first EXT. Language Arts class. We were supposed to write an autobiography starting from age one! I started to write and all my past - positive and negative - just spilled out of my memory. We began to write more stories and poems and I realized that writing is something useful and helpful and maybe something I should continue to do. Dreaming is extremely important to my life and without it, I would have no interest in my future! In order to complete my dreams, though, I have to make certain goals for myself so that I can build my way up to anything near those careers. For example, one of my most effective goals is to try to earn better grades each year and to push myself past honor roll and become studious or industrious on my schoolwork, especially. Last year, I earned the honor roll but mostly with B's and B+'s. I wasn't really happy because I knew I was capable of getting straight A's. Especially in Social Studies, one of my not-so-great subjects, I was usually getting B's or C's. I didn't want this year to be the same, so I am trying harder and studying more for that class, and frankly, I'm doing pretty good so far. Therefore, if I keep these goals up and work myself to the limit, then I know I'll have a good education for any career that could lead to something bigger and better each time Of course, to remember the feeling and thought of setting goals and accomplishing them, you have to get used to the fact of working harder and longer. What not better then after-school or outside-of-school activities? These types of everyday clubs or sports can really help you to realize what and how many options and opportunities there are in th e world. For example, I am currently on the Saunders Dance Team and involved in tae-kwon-do. These two sports have taught me so much more then just how to do the splits or punch. Some of the main things are respect and discipline. Tae-kwon-do is all about controlling yourself and only having to use the techniques when necessary. Dance teaches you skill and coordination and how to be intuitive when it counts. Both of these extremely helpful activities taught me to live to be the best that I can be and to never-ever give up. I could really use this advice whenever I am feeling doubtful or unmotivated about whatever I have chosen. So, basically, everyday activities are something we should all get involved in, just to know that we can be the best in whatever we want to be the best in. In conclusion, I would just like to add that anything that helps me to believe in myself and that I feel is important to me, should be continued throughout my life no matter what or how many obstacles fall my way. As time passes, I will not only have achieved many goals, dreamt many dreams, or have played many sports, but also have found new and better ways to succeed in the never-ending obstacle course called Life. This is my favorite essay because it shows what I like to do and it has a little advice for later when I decide what I want to do with my life. >No Guitar Blues The lesson about life that fausto's experience teaches is to always think twice about anything and to do the right thing as much as possible because there is always a reward. The part where he does the right thing is when he put the twenty dollar bll in the church basket for charity or whatever other good reason. I also chose this piece of work because it talks about an important characteristic that everyone should have; to know when and how to do the right thing. Miss Daisy Miss Daisy, them main character of the play, Driving Miss Daisy, can be described as stubborn. During the first part of the play, Daisy is arguing with Boolie about the accident and how much it cost the insurance company. Boolie is trying to tell her that she can't drive anymore, but doesn't believe him and disregards anything inconsiderate he says about her driving. Also, when Hoke wants to drive her to the Piggly Wiggly, she is very stubborn and doesn't want him to look like a cheoffer. Finally, she gives up and Hoke drives her to the market. The last scene where she appears head-strong, is when Boolie walks in, and Miss Daisy is complaining that Hoke stole a can of her salmon and more. Boolie thinks she is over-reacting and argues that he can buy her a new can and it doesn't matter. She stubbornly disagreed. Hoke Hoke can be described as calm or patient. When Miss Daisy saw him cleaning the chandelier, she was making a fuss about no one needing to dust it, and he understood and stopped dusting it. Also, when Hoke was driving Miss Daisy to the Piggly Wiggly, he took a short cut that she didn't like, and Hoke just calmly explained that it was a shorter way to get there, and before she knew it, they arrived at the store. Finally, when Miss Daisy angrily directed him to park anywhere but the sunlight, Hoke made no fuss or argument and obeyed Miss Daisy. I decided to add these two paragraphs because they are my only entries that show description of certain characters.
