Research Paper-

Have you ever wondered how pop music came to be? It all started with four young Brits from

Liverpool, who had a singing style like no other. They were known as the Beatles, and would

soon not have only changed the 60's but influenced how we think of pop music today.

The Beatles, although they became very popular, did not get famous over night. They started

out in 1957, when Paul McCarhtney joined QuarrryMann led by John Lennon. George Harrison

and Ringo Starr later joined, replacing Stu Sutcliffe and Peter Best. In 1962, George Martin

finally signed them, after four record companies rejecting them. In 1963, they had three songs

at number one, "From Me to You," "She Loves You," and " I Want to Hold Your Hand." In 1964

the Beatles released their album, "Meet the Beatles." Later that year they also started an

international tour, that ended two years later. However in 1964 and 1965 they also stared in two

motion pictures, "A Hard Days Night" and "Help!" During the week of April 4th, the top 5 songs,

and 16 of the top 100 songs were by the Beatles, which meant they were a huge success. They

were the first ones to have so many songs on the top of the charts.

Society’s biggest reaction to the Beatles was Beatlemainia. Beatlemainia manly started when

the group made their American debut on the Ed Sulivan show. Americans were amazed at their

new sound. All the media also brought on Beatlmainia, everybody started recognizing the

Beatles in all the newspapers and magazines. Soon after the Beatles released their album,

"Meet the Beatles," the public loved absolutely them.

Even though the Beatles haven’t been a band for a while, they still have a big impact on our lives

today. Nearly 2,000 people are still making a living off organizing Beatles festivals, retailing

Beatles memorabilia, and publishing the Beatles magazine. " The farther away they get in time,

the better they become." Says Mr. Davies. Gregory Katz of the Dallas Morning News explains,

the Beatles are still a "powerful economic force." Although the Beatles are no longer together

they will never fade away.

In conclusion, the Beatles have forever changed the world of pop music. They have astounded

the world with there new sound, and made history for having more songs on top of the charts

than any other band or artist. They have had magazines published for them, memorabilia made

for them, and even still have many records available today. The Beatles will never fade away,

and will be past on from generation to generation.

Flag Burning Essay-

I strongly believe that flag burning is protected under the first amendment.

Therefore a new amendment is not necessary. Because we live in a world of

many diverse people, the flag has many different meanings. But, to me it means

freedom; the freedom to be able to burn it. This doesn't mean that I believe that

you can go out and burn the flag for no apparent reason, it means you should be

able to burn it for patriotic reasons such as, if it touches the ground.

Burning the flag is a sign of patriotism, and is done by people who really care

about our country. Patriots who enjoy America burn the flag out of respect, and

not of hatred. If we couldn't burn the flag, everyone would have raggedy, old

flags hanging on there flagpoles, and to me that's a sign of disrespect. Our

founding fathers fought not only for our country, but to protect our right to burn

the flag.

Flag burning is a form of symbolic speech, which is protected by the first

amendment. We have rights and freedoms stated in the constitution, and if we

couldn't protect those rights by burning the flag, it would be unconstitutional.

Why would you make a law banning flag burning if it is going against our

constitution? That would be like ignoring our founding fathers that constructed

the constitution to protect our rights.

Our rights in the constitution, fully protect us from being arrested for burning the flag.

I believe that burning it is perfectly acceptable, it doesn't hurt anybody else. We have rights to

burn the

flag as long as it doesn't violate other people's rights. If the law is made it will

have taken away one of our rights, and for some people their pride.

In conclusion, flag burning is protected by the first amendment. You should not

be arrested if you burn the flag unless you put someone else in danger, or violate

their rights. I think everyone needs to realize that burning the flag is not a crime,

but a way to express patriotism.

Kidnapped by Aliens-

Elizabeth, a twelve-year-old girl was the only one in Wyoming who believed in aliens. All the

Children in her class (even her best friend, Bethany) thought she was crazy and never included

Her in any games. However, not only her friends thought she was crazy, her whole family

Thought she was crazy. They thought she was just hallucinating, and making up things. She felt

Really lonely, and knew aliens where real. She had pictures of them, but everyone thought they

Were computer animated.

Everybody around Elizabeth still thought Elizabeth was crazy, until one night in June, (When

Elizabeth was now sixteen) Elizabeth arose to a huge boom. She figured it was just she

Next-door neighbors so continued to sleep. However only a few minutes after she was awoken,

She woke up to a huge ray of light. That’s when she looked out her window and saw them, the

aliens. She nearly jumped out of bed she was so excited. But she soon got control of herself

and noticed that the aliens were kidnapping her neighbors. She tried telling her parents about

the event in the morning, and told them to look out the window, but the aliens were gone!

Elizabeth then noticed the headline of the local newspaper. It read, "Franklin Family Missing

with No Trace." Elizabeth felt a cold chill go down her back, the aliens! When she tried telling

the police, but they just laughed in her face. Later on she also tried telling her classmates, but

that was a mistake. They all just made fun of her more. Elizabeth decided she needed prove.

So later that night she was ready with her camera by her window. (Hoping everyone would

believe her with these pictures.) As soon as she saw the aliens, she took millions of pictures.

After school that day, she ran frantically to develop her pictures, but to her surprise, the picture

of the aliens didn’t come out. She was astounded. How could this happen? So to prove her

self-right, she got her whole neighborhood to stay up late that same night, to see the aliens.

When the aliens came, that kidnapped the whole neighborhood!

Once in the space ship, one of the neighbors yelled, Elizabeth was right, there are aliens!"

Elizabeth was about to respond when one of the aliens told everyone why they were kidnapped.

It turned out that the aliens needed more gas for their space ship, and wanted the neighbors to

tell them where the nearest gas station was. But when they asked all the neighbors they

kidnapped, they all just stared at them. Elizabeth told the aliens there was a gas station just

two blocks away. The aliens thanked all the people and set them free.

After Elizabeth proved their where aliens, she became very popular. Everyone believed her when

she talked about her alien sightings, and she was no longer lonely. Elizabeth’s family became

very proud of Elizabeth, and bought her an investigation kit. Elizabeth was very happy with her

new life.

The baseball is thrown.

The batter hits a homerun.

The baseball flies fast

Soaring way up over the fence

Exited fans yell.

Fast, running froward

Sprints to the ball easily

And then takes a shot.
